The Model SM800/2500 large-part central granulator is equipped with a 32- by 94-inch cutting chamber and 300-hp drive motor. The granulator was designed to recycle PET bottles at production rates exceeding 10,000 lb/hr. It also lends itself to size reducing film, sheet, purgings, pipe, profiles, and other forms of scrap.The granulator has adjustable rotating and bed knives said to maintain a consistent dimension between the rotating knives and screen surface, double-angle cutting action, an off-set cutting chamber design, outboard-mounted bearings, hydraulic opening and closing of the cutting chamber, and all-welded solid-steel construction.
