Biodegradable plastics are plastics that will decompose in the natural environment. There are two companies listed in the Prospector search engine for plastic material datasheets that produce biodegradable plastics and they are Novamont S.p.A. and UNITIKA Plastics Division. Another company that produces green plastics is Natureworks who currently has eight Polylactic Acid (PLA) grades of resin.
