IMMC_News_Arburg_Allrounder.jpgComplex MIM parts molded at trade show

Visitors at the PM2TEC show in June witnessed the molding of a corrosion-resistant steel hood latch on an Allrounder 270 C 400-100. Unlike its plastic injection counterpart, the Arburg GmbH (Lossburg, Germany) machine contains a wear-resistant cylinder module, position-regulated screw, and specially adapted screw geometry. The complex component was produced in a two-cavity mold on a 45-ton machine. The feedstock used was Catamold 316-L from BASF.
