NP_Dukane_ac.gifWith most conventional thermal probes for heatstaking and inserting, it?s difficult to adjust the height or lateral or radial position, especially at operating temperature, but a new patent-pending probe design allows these adjustments using common hand tools. The Multi-Adjustable Thermal Probe (MATP) uses seven new design elements to achieve that goal, while maintaining compatibility with other machines. These features include a fork mounting that uses a standard grid pattern, a ceramic insulation disk for making adjustments without worrying about the insulator, and a built-in, height-locking adjustment that can be maneuvered even while the probe is hot. The MATP can be retrofitted to fix existing systems, and it is featured on Dukane?s new presses.
