INDUSTRIAL SENSORS, INC.
Booth N-5453 (SEE AD P 49)

What's Hot! ISI was acquired by Gefran S.p.a., an Italian manufacturer of components for the control and automation of industrial processes, last year. The two companies have consolidated production and engineering technologies for their melt pressure transducers, which they say, will result in an enhanced product. The technology, which is said to be the 'latest' in the high-tech strain-gage area, will be introduced at NPE, but will not be available until this Fall. Units will be manufactured in both the U.S. and in Italy and will have a polished stainless steel look.

The companies have also combined efforts in the area of instrumentation, which has resulted in two new products:

* The 40B96 is a low-cost 1/8 DIN process indicator with two alarms and selectable auxiliary outputs. The instrument has a polycarbonate faceplate, a four-digit display and can accept strain gage or potentiometer inputs. It has a simplified calibration procedure, which can be done via the front panel or through a PC connection kit.

* The 40TB96 is a low-cost 1/4 DIN pressure indicator with two alarms and selectable auxiliary outputs. It also has a polycarbonate faceplate, a four-digit display and can accept strain gage or potentiometer inputs. The instrument can be configured to display either pressure in one display or pressure and temperature simultaneously in two displays. It has a simplified calibration procedure, which can be done via the front panel or through a PC connection kit.

Existing Products On Display ISI will show a range of products that are 'new' by way of Gefran's acqusition. These include:

* Contactless absolute linear transducers use two methods to acquire the linear position: the principle of magnetostriction of ferromagnetic materials (MK and IK Series) and the use of a capacitive-type electrical signal (CPK and ICP Series).

* Transmicor T220 Series humidity sensors have an interchangeable measuring device that does not require recalibration. Accuracy is rated at better than 2% rh.

* Industrial pressure sensors have been re-engineered for the American market, including pressure ranges, outputs and fittings.

* A range of solid state relays, linear position transducers; pressure/temperature controllers; and indicators, timers and counters will also be on display. Circle 184
