NP_ResearchInc_strip.gifThe StripIR series of strip heaters use parabolic reflectors to apply heat to narrow strips of material. The heaters are adjustable and can be installed in a variety of configurations. The lamps reach 90% of full operating temperature within 3 seconds of a cold start. The radiant energy dissipates to 10% 5 seconds after the power supply is disconnected. The StripIR Model 4184 uses T-3 style halogen lamps backed by a ceramic reflector to provide heat. The StripIR Model 5305 uses a tubular quartz T-3 style halogen lamp backed by an aluminum reflector. A water-cooling system prevents the reflector from overheating and allows continuous operation.
