Fully enclosed unit

Objet Geometries' Eden 330 third-generation ink jet printing system for rapid prototypes has a modular printing head with eight individually replaceable jets. It can be retrofitted to the second-generation Tempo. Two resins are used, one for the product itself and one for the support, which is subsequently peeled off, and the residuals washed away. They are UV cured as they are applied. Build layers are 16 µm thick. Equipment is fully enclosed, with resins supplied in replaceable cannisters. Objet systems are sold in the U.S. by Stratasys.
