Innovation claims to be world first on the market

The A4200 (MurSeal technology), a flexible sealing element, is designed to provide improved quality for overmolding of metal inserts. With the mounting of the flexible sealing elements in the mold cavity plates, metal inserts can be overmolded without burr or damage. The producer says the device was developed in cooperation with the Plastics Institute (KIMW) of Lüdenscheid, Germany. It has proven successful in molding both reinforced and nonreinforced plastics. Machining of flexible sealing elements is said to present no problems. It aims to cut rejects and is said to be particularly useful for overmolding sheet metal thickness >4 mm.
