Instrument News: Temperature Calibrator, Ultrasonic Flowmeter

TTI has introduced the ISOCAL 6 temperature calibrator and the PortaFlow-X ultrasonic flowmeter.

Temperature calibrator offers six calibration baths in one product and can calibrate temperature sensors absolutely or by comparison.

In addition it will calibrate both contact and non-contact thermometers, varying from optical pyrometers, surface sensors and mercury in glass thermometers, as well as thermocouples, RTDs and thermistors of any shape. Base price is $3105.

Ultrasonic flowmeter is compact and weighs 3.3 lb. It can be used with a variety of clamp-on detectors applicable to small- and large-diameter pipes, at a temperature range of -40 to 390 F. A rechargeable NiCad battery provides 5 hr of continuous operation. 

A backlit LCD, minimal function keys and menu-driven screens allow for easy programming. A serial communications interface allows for data transfer and a signal analysis function can store up to 20 sets of site parameters. The graphic trend indication can be output to a display or an optional printer.

Unit comes with a carrying case and sensor mounting hardware. Price is around-$6000.
