Fypon Ltd., manufacturers of decorative PVC millwork in a variety of architectural styles to enhance the interior and exterior of America’s homes, just introduced its newest PVC Column Wraps. The PVC Unassembled Column Wrap now comes in an Economy Plain Style, in a kit that comes complete with the PVC shaft panels, base, cap, nailing blocks and installation cleats in one box. The kit is designed to save installers job-site installation time and effort, and list pricing starts at below $140 per kit, depending on the column wrap size required.
Fypon, with North American headquarters and manufacturing in Archbold, OH, first introduced its PVC Column Wraps in 2006, and reports that consumer acceptance has been tremendous. The original PVC Column Wrap has been recognized with many industry awards for the product’s innovative design and time-saving attributes. The new Unassembled Column Wrap allows builders and remodelers to install the wrap in less than 25 minutes.
“Installation is faster and easier than ever before so that installers can quickly move on to their next project,” said Tina Mealer, director of marketing for Fypon. Mealer notes that the free movement of the wrap around the post during installation creates the best alignment of the columns in relation to each other and in alignment with the porch, which makes it possible for builders and remodelers to line up the column wraps perfectly, even if the support structures themselves are not exactly parallel to one another. Another advantage of the “floating wrap” is that even if the structural post (which is generally pressure-treated lumber) twists over time, the shape of the wrap will not be affected.
“This product ships flat, with the durable PVC column shaft in four pieces, and the PVC cap and base in four additional pieces,” said Mealer. “The complete kit includes the adhesive, screws and cleats needed for installation.”
Fypon offers a full line of labor-saving two-piece, semi-assembled column wraps in more than a dozen different styles, such as Raised Panel, Fluted, Tapered, Non-Tapered and Craftsman. The column wraps can be used for both interior and exterior decorative uses. —[email protected]
