(Hall 10, B04) has extended a new line of cavity/melt temperature sensors to meet global injection molding needs.
The company states that its new line of "Heavy Duty" cavity sensors can be used at mold temperatures up to 320° C. These new cavity temperature sensors are reportedly suitable for use in various injection molding processes including thermoset, elastomer and liquid silicone processing as well as in thermoplastics. Priamus reports that its temperature sensor systems have been tested and proven for effective monitoring and control throughout the injection molding process.
In addition to new cavity sensors, Priamus has introduced a melt temperature sensor designed for temperature measurement of plastic melts under high pressure. Using a special seal, this sensor can be used in a hot-runner manifold or a machine nozzle. Priamus states that the ambient temperature at the place of this sensor's installation can permanently reach 450° C. The hardened sensor front allows the melt temperature sensor to also withstand high filled melts.
