Container and lid maker Letica Corporation's decision to gain ISO9001:2008 certification was a full commitment. Having just received it for its headquarters and tech center in Rochester, MI, as well as the production facility in Fremont, IN, Letica plans to have certification for its other 12 U.S. manufacturing locations by the end of 2010.

At the start of 2011, 18 months of documentation and process refinements will have been combined with Letica's 40-plus years of design and manufacturing of rigid and foodservice packaging as the entire company becomes registered. Letica says that being the only ISO9001:2008-registered company in its category will further assure its customers that the company's products are best-in-class.

Besides a broad range of rigid plastic containers and lids used in multiple business sectors, Letica's Maui Cup Division also makes paper and plastic cups, lids, and custom products for the foodservice industries that are delivered to quick-service restaurants and convenience stores across North America by its own Letica Freightlines.

Family-owned, Letica says it has always incorporated sustainability practices in its business activity, and has a mission to drive continuous improvement through material reduction, energy conservation, and recycling awareness without compromising performance, aesthetics, or productivity.
