Matt has been with Modern Plastics since 1998, and took on the magazine's editor-in-chief responsibilities in 2004. Based in Germany, he has covered the entire plastics industry, including injection molding, extrusion, blowmolding and thermoforming, and also the materials and tooling associated with these processes. He spends considerable time and effort reporting on the medical, automotive and packaging end markets.
He helped lead the development of PlasticsToday.com, the Internet community Modern shares with Injection Molding Magazine, and has been editor of that web-based community since 2008.
As part of a restructuring effort and to better prepare the brands for the future, Injection Molding Magazine and Modern Plastics Worldwide last print editions will be the April 2011 issues. Injection Molding and Modern Plastics Worldwide will continue to deliver content via branded e-newsletters and via the PlasticsToday.com website.
Prior to joining MPW and PlasticsToday, Matt spent seven years as a U.S. Army officer. He is married and has four children.
