Extrusion machine operators who must be near the die area while setting up the process parameters can now do both simultaneously thanks to a swing-arm control that can be maneuvered into various positions. In coextrusion applications, the coextrusion controls for the Model TL-350 thermoplastic extruder from Diamond America Corp. are located in the same panel as the main extrusion controls.

The swing-arm unit can be applied to any size extruder, but the TL-350 is a 3.5-inch, 30:1 extruder. Like all Diamond extruders, this model has a four-bolt swing gate, easy-close hopper slide, and a spill-proof hopper drain. The front barrel support has bi-directional adjustment for easier alignment, and the barrel reduces deflection, helping, in turn, to reduce screw and barrel wear.
