Injection molder Pereles Bros. (Milwaukee, WI) has named Duwayne Pliner as the company's sales manager. He had served as the company's plant manager since he started with the company in August of 2003. Recently the molder named Kent Kuecherer, who joined the firm in March 2007 as its quality/continuous improvement, as the new plant manager.

Pline's career, spanning 44 years, has taken him to a number of molders and OEMs including Johnson Controls, Bell & Howell, Milwaukee Electric Tool, Juno Tool & Plastics, and Plastic Components.
CeDO, a processor of household disposals such as trash bags and food storage bags with annual sales of about €227 million, has named Les Jakeman to the new position of group manufacturing director. CeDo Group CEO David Pearce says that "this new role is all about maximizing the potential of the CeDo Group worldwide."
Jakeman will coordinate and integrate the work across the CeDo Group sites in the UK, Poland, Holland, China, and Vietnam. He brings 35 years experience in the film extrusion business to his new job. He was manufacturing director at Poly-Lina from 1986-1998, and at CeDo from 1998-2002. Jakeman had previously held positions at extruder manufacturer Gloenco and factory manager at plastic film extruder IPEL.
In other news, The Plastics Academy is now accepting nominations for posthumous induction into the Plastics Hall of Fame, the highest honor bestowed in the plastics industry. The 157 current inductees in the Plastics Hall of Fame include pioneers from the industry's earliest days as well as ones who made their mark more recently.
"Nominations are for deceased individuals who have a strong record of consistent dedication and extraordinary accomplishments, and who have contributed to the stature and growth of the plastics industry," said Jay Gardiner, president of The Plastics Academy and president of Gardiner Plastics (Port Jefferson Station, NY).
Criteria for nomination and an electronic nomination form can be found online at The Plastics Academy website. Nomination forms can also be requested by contacting SPI's Susan Douglas at [email protected]. Nomination forms must be received by October 30, 2010. A committee comprised of all living Hall of Fame members will select up to five nominees for induction into the Plastics Hall of Fame in a ceremony to be held in 2011. —[email protected]
