Hot runner/mold components

A new hot runner nozzle heater uses a patented manufacturing technology to create precise temperature profiles and maximize heat transfer. The Thermasleeve line applies Thermospray, where heat paths are cut directly into a dielectric material. Using laser structuring, the heaters offer customized temperature profiles that can be repeated for improved viscosity within the nozzle and shot-to-shot consistency. The manufacturer has created a specialized tool to remove the sleeve, based on customer feedback. In addition, the nozzle heater is slotted to accommodate commercially available, off-the-shelf, thermocouples so that a groove doesn?t need to be machined in. The Thermasleeve maintains a low profile, with high wattage in a smaller package, with comparable price to conventional nozzle heaters, according to the manufacturer.
