Nypro gets its mojo working with Habitat for Humanity

On April 14 and 15, six executives from Nypro Packaging along with thirteen other members of the leadership team will spend two full days volunteering at the Habitat for Humanity house at 32 Carter St., Lancaster, MA. During these two days, they will build their "Mojo" while reconstructing a home for a local family in Clinton, MA, where Nypro is headquartered.

What's all the talk about mojo?  "At Nypro Packaging, Mojo is the positive energy that results in an outstanding customer experience.  Our employees bring this energy to work every day to take care of our customers.  We want to share this energy with our neighboring communities, " explained Paul Kayser, group president of Nypro's packaging business unit.

Kayser continued, "We will be partnering with Habitat for Humanity in communities where Nypro Packaging has manufacturing operations. As part of this partnership, Nypro Packaging will not only volunteer their time, but be pledging a financial contribution to cover the material costs" for the projects selected.

Under the Habitat program, the family benefiting from the project also contributes its own "sweat equity" while working alongside volunteers. Habitat for Humanity builds or rehabilitates homes in partnership with families in need. This is the second Habitat Mojo event undertaken by Nypro Packaging; company employees from its facility in Mebane, North Carolina worked on a new house for a family in Graham, North Carolina earlier this year.

Similar projects are being planned with Habitat for Humanity chapters in or near other Nypro Packaging facilities in Hanover Park, Illinois; Dothan, Alabama; Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; Atlanta, Georgia and Chula Vista, California.

Nypro Packaging is one of three global business units of Nypro Inc.  The others are Nypro Healthcare and Nypro Consumer & Electronics. The company's revenues for the most recent fiscal year were $1.3 billion.
