Pad printer stores jobs, allows remote monitoring
March 1, 2004
A 20-GB hard drive and Windows-based operating system give a new series of pad printers intuitive controls and the ability to store and recall a larger number of jobs. All parameters on the XE Series are recalled for each job, including head speed, down strokes, pad cleaning, and print pauses. The servodriven conveyor instantly changes registration on the Y axis as does the servo print head on the X axis. LAN and Internet capabilities allow for remote machine monitoring and uploads of software updates. The system?s independent pad feature lets the unit pick up one or more colors so that multicolor logos can be printed, and it creates a four-color process. Print sequences can be changed in seconds, and in terms of speed, units running 5-inch-diameter cups can achieve 1700 cycles/hr. The XE Series is the culmination of a joint effort between Pad Print Machinery and Comec Italia.
