Portable And Central Chillers Are Energy Efficient

groupimage27.jpgMotivair Corp. has introduced a new line of portable (Models ECA 001 to 150) and central (Models ECC 050 to 200) water chillers.

The ECA portable chillers are available in capacities from 1/2 to 50 tons, in air- or water-cooled versions. An integral reservoir, which contains the evaporator, allows the compressor to cycle on and off a maximum of eight times an hour, while maintaining chilled water temperature within 3.5 °F.

These chillers only consume electrical power in direct proportion to the cooling load, which is said to reduce operating costs. They can also absorb surge loads without temperature deviation.

Plug-in microprocessor controls and alarms allow 'push-button' adjustment of all parameters. All models have automatic restart, remote stop/start and remote alarms.

Stainless steel pumps have standard flow switch and bypass to protect the pump in the vent of water starvation. The enclosure has removable access panels and is finished in a baked epoxy powder coating.

ECC central plant chillers range from 50 to 200 tons. They are available in air- or water-cooled versions having multiple independent refrigeration circuits with separate matching tank and pump stations.

Standard models are fitted with ASME-stamped shell and tube evaporators and condensers. They also havesemi-hermetic compressorswith cylinder unloading. Scroll compressors are optional onall models.

Price varies greatly depending on size and options, so please contact the manufacturer directly for pricing information (check out the Key Contact Directory on p 50).
