Portable chiller line expanded to 40 hp

The expanded line of PSA (air-cooled) Series and PSW (water-cooled) Series portable chillers now have capacities from 2 to 40 hp. The units feature scroll compressors and brazed plate evaporators. Standard elements include an 80-gal polyethylene reservoir and a NEMA 12 electrical enclosure. A nonfused disconnect switch has a single-point power connection. Branch motor fusing is used, with a low rpm blower design to minimize noise.
A dual stage off-the-shelf auto-tune control stages compressors individually based upon load to conserve energy. Scroll compressors use fewer moving parts than reciprocating compressors, yielding less rotating mass and internal friction. No suction and discharge valves are needed, minimizing vibration. Options include an automatic water makeup valve and RS232/RS485 communications capacity.
