Portable polishing machine targets small-run production

To obtain shiny, transparent parts from acrylic, polycarbonate, and PET of small-sized parts, the portable AMT polishing machine provides an entry-level unit with high versatility. This benchtop unit, which debuted at K 2004, measures 700 mm in length, and allows polishing bevels and angles up to 60º. The machine has two clamps to hold the part, and polishing movement is automated. It includes a position indicator used to control and adjust the position of the cutting angle of the mill. Either natural or synthetic diamond polishers can be attached to the unit. Milling diameter is 83 mm; stroke depth is .5 mm, and the passing speed ranges from 0 to .350 m/min.
