Indicator Lights Monitor AC

Current Flow

pn14-499.jpgNew KCL-5M Indi-cation Lights show that an induction device (i.e., motor, heater or light) is drawing current. They do this by monitoring the presence of ac current flow to the device. This is versus traditional indicating lights that signal only that the switch function has been performed and it  has provided power to the light (it does not indicate that the device being powered is drawing current).

These lights are said to be ideal for applications where a physical or visual reaction is not obvious when power is applied to ac apparatus, such as submersible pumps, heaters and devices far away from the control location.

The KCL-5M can be installed without a wire splice and has a replaceable neon indicating lamp rated at 15,000 hr. Installation does require a 1-in-diameter panel hole and 2 in. or less of back panel space. A base-mount accessory is available for installation where panel mounting is not appropriate. Priced less than $25, light lenses come in red, amber and green.
