Rotary Container Inspection Systems

Detect Smaller Flaws At Higher Speeds

pn152-99.jpgBuilder says it is now in full production of its new high-speed Model 7385 rotary container inspection system. Units that come with 16, 24 or 30 stations are said to be capable of speeds in excess of 400, 600 and 750 containers/min, respectively.

Units can detect defects from 0.004 to 0.10 in. in diam   eter, depending on bottle characteristics and the speed of the system.

The inspection systems use the builder's Smart Test Module leak inspection technology, which is said to perform pressure decay tests on each container.

Other features include top load detection, vacuum assist (which reportedly helps the unit catch defects that are two to four times smaller), integrated height sensors and vision systems for the inspection of container sealing surfaces, bases and/or necks.

Prices range from around $80,000 to $160,000 depending on the number of stations.
