Rubber-Covered Rollers Improve Converting,

Extrusion Operations

pn13-499arubuco.jpgCustom-manufactured rubber-covered rollers are said to provide the consistency, reliability and operating efficiencies required in converting and extrusion operations.

The company evaluates roller design and operating conditions to create optimum performance rollers. For replacement rollers, the firm measures nip impressions to ensure consistent pressure. Covering materials are selected after considering such process factors as temperature, pressure, humidity and the presence of volatile solvents. Tapering, crowning and grooving can also be done to meet specific needs.

Rollers up to 240 in. between centers and 40 in. diameter can be produced. Cover materials include natural rubber, neoprene, nitrile, EPDM, Hypalon, polyurethane, silicone and FDA-approved materials. A range of thicknesses and dual durometers are also available.

Because rollers are custom designed, prices range considerably. Contact the manufacturer by using our Key Contact Directory.
