The LMS-II from Primech is designed for load balancing tiebars on injection molding presses in less than 10 min with the machine in operation. Unit displays both tiebar elongation and operating tonnage of the press. The builder says this unit was designed specifically for injection molders.

Unit measures tiebar lengths to 300 in., elongation from 0.0001 in. to yield, load from 100 lb to yield at operating temperatures up to 122 F. It is priced at $6800.

Measurement readings are electronically stored for future review or download to a PC or printer. Analog output is also available for dynamic analysis through output to a PC or chart recorder. Strength and stability indicators, as well as waveform display, provide verification of signal quality.
