Primary processing equipment producer Reifenhäuser Extrusion says it has achieved a world record in winding cast polypropylene (CPP) film at a speed of 450 m/min on the recently introduced Midex F multipurpose winder. The unit is in operation at the company’s R&D center in Troisdorf, Germany where bus-loads of customers and prospects are taking advantage of a second look at the company’s running equipment besides those units at its booth at the fair.

In other news, co-chairman Klaus Reifenhäuser penned a deal at the show for four extruder lines used for the production of wood plastics composites (WPC) profiles with Andreas Becker, general manager of Weroform Profile (Sulzdorf, Germany).

Also signed at the exhibition was a deal between film processor Klang Hock Plastic Industries (Kapar, Selangor, Malaysia) and Reifenhäuser for the delivery of five 3-layer blown-film lines with REI2cool systems. The company already is a Reifenhäuser customer and has 10 lines processing 3-layer film for lamination, stretch web, and heavy-duty FFS packaging film.—[email protected]
