He began his career as an electrician working in a molding plant. In 1959, he and his business partner started a service business named Engineered Plastics Machinery Company (EPCO).  Over the next 45 years, that home-based based business grew from servicing injection machines and installing Egan injection unit retrofits, to designing and manufacturing new plastic molding machinery, and then ultimately to become the largest remanufacturer of plastics processing and die casting machinery in North America with 138 employees.

His family and friends plan to gather on Jan. 15th at 11:00 in Fremont, OH for a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. ATTN: Tribute Gifts, Church Street Station, P.O. Box 780, New York, NY 10008-0780. —
