Roper ropes Dynisco

Becoming part of the company’s Energy Systems and Control Segment, testing, measurement, and control supplier Dynisco LLC (Franklin, MA) has been acquired by Roper Industries (Duluth, GA) from the Audax Group (Boston, MA) for $243 million. Roper expects 2007 Dynisco sales to be more than $100 million.

The company, whose roots go back to Dynamic Instrument Control Co., reports having more than three million sensors and 14,000 analytical instruments in the field and has operations in Germany and Malaysia. It was split between Dynisco Sensors and Dynisco Analytical Instrumentation, with both units going to Roper.

In March of this year, Audax Group sold the Dynisco extrusion unit based in Hickory, NC to screw and barrel company Xaloy Inc., in an effort to focus the company on testing instrumentation and lab products. Audax acquired Dynisco in 2004, providing capital for it to subsequently purchase Alpha Technologies and Viatran.—[email protected]
