Sanner reports record sales in 2013

The company has announced that sales grew a healthy 10% in 2013 to reach €55 million, setting a new sales record. Europe's economic doldrums aren't infecting Germany's Sanner (Bensheim), a maker of plastic packaging and components for the medical device and pharmaceuticals sectors. The company has announced that sales grew a healthy 10% in 2013 to reach €55 million, setting a new sales record. The results validate decisions made prior to 2013 to tweak its branding and invest in its operations, according to the company.

Protecting Health—to clarify brand positioning, says the company​​, and it established new product divisions devoted to desiccants, test strips, medical device and pharmaceutical packaging, eye care, and ready-to-fill syringes. It also developed some new patent-pending packaging concepts during the past year.

As part of its strategic realignment, the company undertook an extensive renovation of its headquarters in Bensheim and doubled production capacity at its plant in Kunshan, China. Asian markets, especially China, continue to drive sales.

Founded in 1894, the family-owned business is being run by the fourth generation of Sanners. It employs 500 people in Germany, China, Indonesia, India, Hungary, and the United States.
