Size Reduction Specialists Corp. will continue to supply the S-Cutter screenless granulator as well as parts and service, though the original manufacturer, Nissui Corp., closed its U.S. operations in March 2002. Remanufacturing services of the single-shaft granulators are offered to processors that need machines rebuilt to meet new production requirements. An updated S-Cutter uses the same cutting action said to be ideal for cutting sprues and runners into uniform particles as well as eliminating dust and longs.
