Brussels-based Solvay Group has merged its fluoropolymers activities with those of Ausimont, which Solvay acquired last May, into a new company called Solvay Solexis. Solvay Solexis is headquartered in Bollate, Italy, the location of Ausimont’s headquarters. Solvay Solexis has two ceos, Bernard de Laguiche and Carlo Cogliati. Solvay is now the second-largest producer of fluorinated specialties in the world, after DuPont.
