Apex Machine Co. will introduce three very specialized decorating systems at NPE 2000 (Booth S-3412).

Wine cork printing system, the C-42, is designed to print in up to four colors on plastic wine corks via the dry offset printing process. The C-42 comes with a vibratory feeding system, pretreating section, multicolor dry offset print station, UV dryer and siliconizing station.

Unit can decorate more than 120 corks/min, according to Apex, and allows wine producers to customize their corks in-house with logos or other promotional information. 

Hanger clip printing system, used to print clothing sizes on the clips, is a three-color printing system said to be capable of printing more than 250 parts/min. The CA-80 system incorporates a feeder, dry offset print section, UV drying section and upstacking section. It can also be retrofitted to print directly onto the hanger clips. The CA-80 uses water-based printing inks, eliminating the need for solvents.

Needle cartridge/tube printing system, the C-700, is designed to print in up to three colors at speeds over 500 parts/min. The C-700 incorporates a bulk loading sys-tem, pretreating section, three-color dry off-set print station, UV dryer and exiting station. The system is designed for use by only one operator to save labor hours.
