Spray Lubricants Protect Against Rust And Corrosion

20.jpgSherwin-Williams has three new Sprayon lubricants that are also claimed to provide 'long-term protection' against rust and corrosion. Please contact the company directly for pricing information (use the Key Contact Directory on p 46).

Sprayon 737 is a synthetic-modified dry lube formulated with additives to leave a thick, transparent, dry film that resists dust, dirt, oil and water. It is said to be non-staining and USDA H-2 rated. Applications include bearings and sliding surfaces. It is also said to displace moisture in electrical applications.

Sprayon 767 is designed to protect equipment that is stored indoors. It is a medium-weight oil that is non-staining, yet leaves an amber film to show that it has been applied. It lasts for up to 15 months, according to the manufacturer, and protects against humidity and corrosion. It can be used on metals, rubber and most plastics.

Sprayon 777 is an outdoor protectant and lube designed to withstand 'severe' weather conditions for up to 24 months. Its waxy formulation creates a rust-inhibiting barrier that can be removed with mineral spirits. The company says it will protect a 'huge' variety of industrial surfaces.
