SR-ST and SR-YS Series sprue pickers are said to offer economical and efficient molding automation. Their compact, lightweight design permits quick, easy installation, and the oilless pneumatic drive system is virtually maintenance-free, increasing reliability. A telescopic vertical arm is optional in all sizes and allows a lower profile with increased speed and rigidity. The picker quickly changes from a rear- to operator-side release. A main-arm safety lock prevents accidental descent of the arm in case of pressure loss. Flow controls are easily accessible for adjusting all speeds. The clean design eliminates a stripper frame, allowing use with rack or unscrewing molds. The compact, handheld control pendant is used on both SR-ST and SR-YS Series units. It comes with 10 preprogrammed sequences, and has a teach function for programming and storing up to 10 special user sequences. An LCD shows sequence selection and timer adjustments. An SPI picker interface is standard, and two spare inputs and one spare output are available. Telescopic units are beltdriven and ride on THK-type linear bearings, reportedly providing smooth and efficient motion. The unique pressure-differential sprue-verification system eliminates wires and improves accuracy and reliability.
