The S840 ultrasonic welder is a completely self-contained unit designed for a wide variety of secondary and assembly operations. The front panel controls make set up and monitoring easy. The unit comes with a snap-in chrome-plated converter and one aluminum booster in a choice of ratios of 5:1, 6:1, 1:1, 1:1.5, 1:2, and 1:2.5. It has a power output of 900 electrical Watts to convert 860 mechanical Watts to the load. Output frequency is 20 kHz. It has a compact footprint, is easy to use, and offers consistency and reliability during production. Welding cycle is said to be 0.1-4.0 seconds, while the holding cycle range is 0.05-3.0 seconds. Maximum force applied on the part is 1.96 kN at 690 kPa (440 lb at 100 psig). It has a stroke of 7.3 cm (2 7/8 inch). It offers full 360-degree rotation of the stack for ease of set up.
