Medical polymers supplier Biomerics (Salt Lake City, UT) has named PolyOne Distribution (Avon Lake, OH) the exclusive North American distributor of its specialty medical-grade thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs). 

PolyOne Distribution will distribute Biomerics' full line of medical-grade TPUs including Quadrathane, Quadraflex, and Quadraplast. The materials are used in a range of medical device applications including vascular access catheters, introducers, drainage catheters, interventional radiology devices, fluid management products, coatings, balloons, and wound care devices. 

Available in a range of hardnesses, colors, and degrees of radiopacity, Quadra biomaterials are engineered to meet the demanding quality and biocompatibility requirements of the medical device market and comply with ISO 10993 and USP Class VI.

The agreement between Biomerics and PolyOne Distribution entails a standard stocking program for the most common material grades and full-service compounding and process support for custom applications.  

The full line of materials will be introduced at the MD&M East exhibition and conference at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City on June 10 to 12, 2014.
