Portable Digitizer Establishes Trim Paths For CNC Routers
The FaroArm portable measurement system is designed to establish trim paths for three- and five-axis CNCrouters. Five sizes are available with capacities from 4- to 12-ft spheres. It comes in three versions:
The Gold Series provides ranges in accuracy from ± 0.0010 to ± 0.0047 in.
The Silver Series provides ranges in accuracy from ± 0.0030 to ± 0.0070 in.
The Sterling Series ranges in accuracy from ± 0.0020 to ± 0.0066 in.
According to the supplier, prior to the FaroArm, processors had to use cross-section templates or subcontracted digitizing services. Now users can capture three-dimensional spline information easily and accurately for various reverse-engineering applications.
Prices range from $48,712 to $56,712 for the Gold Series, from $40,712 to $48,712 for the Silver Series and from $32,712 to $40,712 for the Sterling Series.
