Portable moisture analyzer

Designed for portability and ease of use on the production floor, the Vapor Pro is a new addition to the Computrac line of resin moisture analyzers. With the addition of a compressed air pump, which eliminates the need for a nitrogen source, the analyzer becomes portable. It reportedly demonstrates improved detection capability, measuring moisture levels down to 10 ppm (or 10 microns water) on resin samples ranging from 10 mg to 20g. Results can be achieved in 3 minutes and displayed as percent moisture, parts per million moisture, or micrograms water. According to the company, a new menu and syringe-free calibration offer less potential for user error. The Vapor Pro also uses a closed system that includes a sealed flow path and sleeved sampling needle that circulates the dry nitrogen between tests, stopping moist air from entering or trapping itself within the system. The moisture-specific sensor is reportedly not influenced by other volatiles.
