PP cement bags outlast competitive models

Cement sacks extruded on this manufacturer's lines from coated, high-tenacity, machine-oriented stretch polypropylene (PP) tapes offer a packaging solution for hot-fill product such as cement that can be easily palletized. The bags have high resistance to dropping, bending, and pressure. AD*Star packaging concept processes block-bottom sacks without the need of glue. Unlike sewn-type PP bags, they do not form a pillow shape that can be difficult to palletize. AD*Star can be used on automatic filling and packing lines. They have better strength than paper sacks. Impact strength is provided in upright, lateral, or flat-drop situations. Starlinger & Co. Gesellschaft mbH, Vienna, Austria; +43 1 59955; www.starlinger.com
