Press-Side Granulator Incorporates Customer- Designed Features
The Maverick MVP Series is a new line of press-side granulators available in five cutting chamber sizes and throughputs up to 500 lb/hr. It also was designed using Sterling's 'Vision Process,' to include customer-design input and process testing.
New features are built in for ease of cleaning, maintenance and general operation. These include a side-entry hopper door, dual start/stop buttons on either side of the machine, a lightweight static-reducing bin and bed knives that are adjustable from the front of the machine.
A built-in ratchet tool is said to provide easy access to a wider cutting chamber. Conveyor, robot and long-part chute options allow the unit to be adapted to different applications.
A double-walled hopper and base make the granulator quiet. TEFC motors are standard and available in several sizes. A choice of rotors is offered, including a new open/solid rotor that combines inertia with the airflow of an open rotor. Counter angled knives are offered to provide scissors-cut action.
