Temperature Calibrator Generates 'True' Reference Temperatures
Coming on the heels of the introduction of the Tek Know TC1200 dry block calibrator (Feb '99 PA, p 25) is the new Tek Know TC125 temperature calibrator.
Like other products in the line, the TC125 is able to generate true reference temperatures, instead of a simulation. The controller uses a unique sliding PID proportional band algorithm to closely follow the heating curve of an actual thermal system.
To use, in-sert the sensor into the insertion tube, set the desired temperature and allow the unit to stabilize. Once stabilization has occurred, the temperature is displayed and users can recalibrate the pro-cess system or read-out.
The TC125 can reach its maximum temperature in 15 min. Standard RS-232 interface and Windows-based software are available for fully automated calibration. Unit has a 110 mm standard well and a temperature range of -40 to 125 C., with accuracy of ± 0.3 C.
Each unit comes with a carrying case, 3.5 and 6.5 mm inserts, test cables and a traceable certificate. Price is $3995.
