The RobotstarV-PCX control from Reis robots now has a programming assistant with features such as MinMove, which minimizes arm movements to optimize critical path times, and will even displace arm movements to the faster wrist. Another module optimizes continuous movements, while another provides a library of predefined patterns for easy insertion. An optimizer function in the controls automatically adapts the acceleration parameters of the robots so that the available drive capacity is best utilized. By guaranteeing a time-optimum movement in any operating mode, it becomes possible to reduce cycle times by up to 30%.
