Screws and barrels for extreme applications

Article-Screws and barrels for extreme applications

Making its worldwide debut at K 2001 was a line of screws and barrels designed to perform under extremely high injection pressures and temperatures. Used for the most demanding applications, the Xaloy X340 barrels can operate under pressures up to 43,500 psi and temperatures up to 450C. Paired with these high-pressure barrels are two heavy-duty screw constructions. For the screw, molders can choose a conventional steel model with X183 hardfacing or one that uses tool steel. Xaloy is backing this X802 or X800 tungsten carbide barrel with a three-year warranty.
