Managing and motivating temporary employees during the ‘off shift’ is no easy task, but Pavan Shama and his team consistently hit their production numbers and more, making him a worthy recipient of our July ‘Employee of the Month’ contest.

Second-shift medical thermoformer wins Employee of the Month honors

Shama works as a mold technician in the thermoforming department at Cardinal Health’s facility in Jacksonville, TX. According to his supervisor, Dane Clark, who recommended him for the award, “Pavan has three direct reports and, despite two of the three being temporary employees, his shift continually hits top production numbers. Pavan has a heightened sense of urgency to meet production goals. It is always a challenge working the “off” shifts due to lack of support, but Pavan usually finds a way to make production, sometimes even working through his breaks.”

MPW is pleased to award Shama a $25 Amazon.com gift certificate. Employers who think one of their employees makes the grade as ‘Employee of the Month’ should send a short nomination and, if available, a photo to [email protected].
