Sensor detects cylinder extension/retraction

The Strokemaster cylinder-indicator sensor is designed to signal the user that a cylinder rod has been fully extended or retracted in such applications as clamping devices on injection molding machines. The sensor, which is bolted into a bore inside the cylinder, is a high-pressure, inductive proximity switch. It provides a 2-mm sensing range to detect the split bushing or spud of the hydraulic/pneumatic cylinder. It provides precision end-of-stroke sensing for hydraulic/pneumatic cylinders and eliminates postinstallation cable management problems with 305° of freedom on the connector.

The Strokemaster mounts with two screws and seals with an O-ring that can withstand cylinder pressures up to 3000 psi. It fits all popular cylinder designs with standard probe lengths of 1.025 to 4.560 inches. The probes are made of stainless steel and have a ceramic face. A-c/d-c sensors are nickel-plated brass. Prices vary depending on length of probe tip, but the list price for a d-c sensor with a short probe is $170.
