Sonoco announces shift in leadership

Global packaging leader Sonoco (Hartsville, SC) announced a shift in senior management within its Industrial business segments, according to Jack Sanders President and CEO. John Colyer, Senior VP of Global Industrial Products and Protective Solutions, is stepping down from his operations leadership role due to a health issue. Colyer will continue to work on special projects for the Company, reporting to Sanders.

sonocologo.jpgRodger Fuller, Group VP, is assuming responsibilities for the Industrial businesses in the Americas, including Tubes and Cores, Paper, Adhesives and Recycling in North America and South America, reporting to Sanders

Howard Coker, Group VP, is taking over for Sonoco’s Industrial businesses for Rest of World (ROW), while continuing his leadership of Global Rigid Paper and Closures, reporting to Sanders.

Rob Tiede, Senior VP, will continue to lead the Company’s Consumer Packaging and Display and Packaging business and is assuming additional responsibility for Protective Solutions and Reels.

Sonoco is a $5 billion global provider of consumer packaging, industrial products, protective solutions and display and packaging services.
