Winners will be chosen in four categories: Protecting Life (preservation, safety, containment, protection); Quality of Life (mobility, communication, luxury/comfort, recreation, entertainment); Improving Life (education, energy, opportunity, health); and Sustaining Life (environmental, conservation, sustainability, recycling, reduction). In addition, there will be a grand award and a people's choice award.
"We all know that plastics help improve the quality of life, and in many cases help extend and protect life," said Jon Ratzlaff, technical services manager for Chevron Phillips Chemical Co., who created the parts competition during his term as 2013-2014 SPE president. "Whether the nominated parts are for medical, packaging, construction, electrical/electronics, consumer, or industrial applications, the Plastics for Life global parts competition celebrates all the ways that polymeric materials make life better on this planet."
ANTEC Orlando 2015 will take place March 23-25, 2015 at Orlando's Orange County Convention Center and will be co-located with the NPE2015 plastics exposition, which is produced by SPI.
