Spin welding system revolves around accurate control

Article-Spin welding system revolves around accurate control

The R100 is a servo-driven spin welding system capable of bonding circular parts precisely. Its manufacturer says setup is easy and operation can be done in manual, semi-automated, or fully automatic modes. The servo drive provides final part orientation to within one degree. Velocity is kept constant by special rpm controls. Revolutions per weld cycle are adjustable to provide consistent welding results. Bonds are said to be high-strength because the unit decelerates rapidly causing low polymer stress. Height (400 mm) and stroke (up to 100 mm) are adjustable.
