Five representatives from the Seeding Division of John Deere came to Steinwall's Coon Rapids, MN facility on March 8 to celebrate the occasion. Acknowledging that the award results from a team effort, Steinwall organized a luncheon that included the company's resin suppliers, moldmakers, and local community members.
Deere & Company rates its suppliers on criteria such as on-time delivery, part quality, cost reduction efforts, relationship ease, and technical contributions. Of the approximately 4400 companies in the Deere supply chain, 79 are designated as partner suppliers based on how well they meet the criteria. Deere management then reviews the partner suppliers looking for something extra that makes one stand out in a high-quality group.
