Six sexy, sustainable designs: Grendene

This petite purse is part of a collection of plastic miniatures honoring the art of fashion design. The Melissa bag pictured here is designed by Irmãos Campana for the Melissa line of footwear and accessories manufactured by Grendene, "a famous plastic shoe manufacturer in Brazil," explains Plasticidades: Plástico + Design show curator Magalhães.

"Several of the plastic shoes [on display at the event] are created by famous designers such as Zaha Hadid, Karim Rashid, Gaetano Pesce and Irmãos Campana," says Magalhães. In addition to shoes and accessories in normal sizes, Grendene is launching a five-piece miniature collection, which is being showcased at the Plasticidades: Plástico + Design exhibition.
